Bookaboo: Celebrities scramble to catch a glimpse of a rock sensation on CITV & ITV1. Who’s a super cool, rock phenomenon that’s poised to shake the world of music to its very foundations? Bookaboo, that’s who!
Bookaboo is a world famous rock puppy and he is here to invite you to ‘rock ‘n’ read’ with him and his celebrity fans in CITV’s series Bookaboo a 13-part children’s show, exclusively commissioned by ITV that highlights the pleasure of sharing picture books.
Each episode, a famous face goes back stage to share a story with Bookaboo on his Bookabus – “a story a day or he just can’t play!” Bojo restored, this puppy can play and cheered on by his celebrity guest, he wows us all with the best canine drum solo ever heard.
With an increasing number of parents lacking confidence in their own literacy skills and one in five children leaving primary school unable to read, Bookaboo’s aim is to highlight the fun that can be had when a parent and their child share a book. The positive impact that reading books at home can have on a child’s learning, both socially and educationally, is well documented. Bookaboo encourages mums, dads, grandparents, godparents, siblings and family friends to pick up a children’s picture book and share it with their kids at home.
The show is aimed at children aged 3-6 with a core of ages 4-5, the purpose of both the TV series and the campaign is to promote sharing reading with your children, with the main message 'Share a Book Today.'
Agile Marketing handles the project management of the Official retail promotion for Bookaboo. The publicity campaign for the second series of Bookaboo will begin early November to coincide with the launch of the second series on ITV1.
