On the 13th of September at the House of Hearst in Leicester Square some of the greatest and most exciting authors in the UK gathered to collect their Hearst Big Book awards.

Hearst UK, the leading premium publisher set up the Big Book initiative to discover the best new fiction and non-fiction titles in UK publishing.

Recognising categories such as Crime, Wellbeing, Women Writers and Page Turners, Hearst received submissions from 44 publisher imprints, including small independents as well as the major houses.

The winners of Big Book in each category are:

Elle (Women Writers)

Clean by Juno Dawson – Hachette

Women’s Health (Wellebing)

East by West by Jasmine Hemsley – Pan Macmillan

The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows – Bloomsbury

Esquire (Biography)

Prima (Page Turners)
