Independent Bookshop Week (IBW) is a campaign run by the Booksellers Association and its members to celebrate independent bookshops on the high streets of the UK & Ireland.

The winners of the IBW Book Award 2019 are:

Adult category: Pat Barker’s The Silence of the Girls (Penguin)
Children’s Category: Catherine Doyle’s The Storm Keeper’s Island (Bloomsbury)
Picture Book Category:  If All the World Were… (Frances Lincoln Children’s Books) by Joseph Coelho and illustrated by Allison Colpoys.

The winners of the IBW Book Award 2018 were:
– Adult category – A Gentleman in Moscow (Windmill) by Amor Towles

– Children’s category – Where the World Ends (Usborne) by Geraldine McCaughrean
– Children’s Picture Book category – Lots: The Diversity of Life on Earth (Walker Books) by Nicola Davies and illustrator, Emily Sutton
