Key Information

The Telegraph Sports Book Awards are now in their 18th year, with the annual black-tie prize ceremony taking place at Lords Cricket Ground each June. It is the major annual promotion for sports writing, with the campaign spanning six-months, and includes several star-studded events littered with the nations most loved sports stars.

Agile project manage the awards programme, running an extensive social & retail campaign, overseeing the judging process, event managing the all campaign events, and designing all prize collateral. We have recently created a new Sports Book Awards brand identity, including a logo refresh and the creation of bespoke award artwork to supplement a new dynamic marketing campaign aesthetic, rolled out across our print, digital and social outputs.

In 2020, we coordinated the first-ever Sports Book Awards virtual ceremony, which included video content from 30+ sports writers and sporting heroes, including Peter Crouch, Clare Balding, Tyson Fury, Eddie Jones, Michael Owen, Eni Aluko, Geraint Thomas & Gary Linekar. The social campaign received over 2 million organic impressions, and was ably supported by our many partners, including The Telegraph, The National Literacy Trust, The BBC, The Football Writers’ Association & Sky Sports.
