The Brief

Developing a nature-inspired identity for the UK’s fastest growing literary prize, The Wainwright Prize, which celebrates writing on nature and conservation. Agile developed a motif that seamlessly intertwines the wild world and the written word, homing connotations of the leaf, mountain, river and quill. Partnering annually with a new, unique resident artist, each year of the esteemed Wainwright Prize campaign delights and attracts a growing readership and loyal fanbase.


The Brief

Celebrating the nature writers of our time, The Wainwright Prize is the UK’s fastest growing literary prize, shining a light on the very best of nature and conservation writing for all ages. Agile deliver a holistic end-to-end proposition, including a multi-channel marketing campaign; retail, social and digital activations; all branding and editorial; partnership development; and the design and delivery of the annual Wainwright Prize Winners’ Festival. The prize campaign enjoys national broadcast and print media exposure, with sustained support from high-profile ambassadors such as Ray Mears and Julia Bradbury. Our Wainwright events are homed in peaceful, natural environments that back our cause, from the likes of The London Wetlands Centre to Blenheim Palace and The Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal.
